Docs/Stream/DVR & Cloud Storage

DVR & Automated Cloud Storage Exporter

The DVR module automatically captures live streams at the moment of broadcast and asynchronously exports finalized MP4 recordings to cloud object storage.

Automated Recording Workflow

1. Ingest & Room Trigger

When a broadcast goes live or a host initiates meeting recording, the recording pipeline initializes instantly with zero setup required.

2. Lossless Capture & Composite Layouts

Live broadcasts are captured losslessly at original source fidelity. Multi-party meetings are dynamically composited into balanced video grids featuring all active speakers and shared screens.

3. Session Finalization

When the stream or meeting concludes, the MP4 video container is finalized and indexed with accurate duration and seeking metadata.

4. Asynchronous Cloud Sync

The completed video is automatically uploaded to your connected cloud storage (Amazon S3, Google Drive, Cloudflare R2) and a webhook notification is dispatched.

Supported Storage Destinations

Amazon S3 & S3-CompatibleCloud Storage

Upload recordings directly to Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, Wasabi, or your private object storage bucket under isolated organization namespaces.

Google DriveDirect Sync

Connect your Google Workspace account via the Integrations Hub to auto-save recordings straight into a dedicated Google Drive folder.

Multi-Tenant Namespace Isolation

To maintain zero cross-tenant contamination, all cloud assets follow a strict folder hierarchy:

s3://my-bucket/<tenant_id>/<stream_id>/<timestamp>_recording.mp4
Eager Validation, Lazy Execution: The CloudExporter validates cloud credentials at boot. If misconfigured, errors are caught without halting the live video ingest server, guaranteeing that live broadcasting continues uninterrupted.
