System Requirements
- Windows 10 (version 1903 or later) or Windows 11
- 50MB free disk space
- Internet connection for initial setup
- Administrator privileges for installation
Download and Install
- Visit `app.vynvpn.com/download`
- Click **Download for Windows**
- Run the installer (`VynVPN-Setup.exe`)
- Click **Install** when prompted by Windows UAC
- Installation completes in under 30 seconds
First Connection
- Launch VynVPN from the Start menu or system tray
- Log in with your email and password (or SSO if configured)
- Click the large **Connect** button
- Status changes to "Connected" with a green indicator
- Your traffic is now encrypted
Configuration
Choose Your Server
Click the server selector to choose a specific region. For best performance, select the closest server. For geo-specific access, choose the region you need.
Enable Kill Switch
Go to Settings → Security → Kill Switch and set to Strict. This prevents any data leakage if the VPN disconnects.
Auto-Connect on Startup
Enable Settings → General → Start with Windows and Auto-connect to ensure you're always protected.
Split Tunneling
If needed, go to Settings → Split Tunnel to configure which apps or domains bypass the VPN.
System Tray
VynVPN lives in your system tray for quick access:
- **Green shield** — Connected and protected
- **Red shield** — Disconnected
- **Right-click** — Quick connect/disconnect, change server, open settings
Troubleshooting
- **Won't connect** — Check firewall allows VynVPN through (UDP 443, TCP 443)
- **Slow speeds** — Try a different server region or protocol
- **App won't start** — Run as administrator, or reinstall
- **Kill switch blocking internet** — Reconnect VPN or disable kill switch temporarily in settings
Uninstall
If needed: Settings → Apps → VynVPN → Uninstall. All configurations and credentials are removed.
